Toe separators are cushioned foam devices that are slipped between the toes to help spread the digits apart. They’re usually used during pedicures to help make nail polish application easier and to reduce the chance of polish smudges forming due to the toes rubbing together.
Foam toe separators are not the same thing as medical toe separators or toe spacers, which are used to spread the toes and help reduce foot pain due to conditions like bunions, arthritis, claw toe, plantar fasciitis, hammertoes and metatarsalgia.
