Guy Fierie just loves his Superfeet!

Celebrity chef Guy Fieri knows a thing or two about sore feet. The host of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives has spent about a million hours standing on hard kitchen floors during his impressive career. And one piece of super valuable foot care advice he’s learned along the way is to use Superfeet insoles and shoe inserts to help avoid sore, swollen feet after long hours at work.

In a piece written for NY Mag’s The Strategist, Fieri recounts his college days working in the meat industry, where he spent unbelievably long amounts of time on his feet in harsh, cold environments.

“When you’re standing on hard surfaces for so long and doing these repetitive motions day in day out, not having the right foot support will wear you out,” he says, adding that Dr. Scholl inserts and even custom orthotics just weren’t able give him the relieve and support he needed.

“One day I was talking to a buddy of mine who’s a podiatrist, and he said, ‘You’ve got nice cars. Do you put cheap tires on them? Try Superfeet,’” he shares.

Superfeet made all the difference

The Food Network star took his friend’s advice and found that Superfeet “made all the difference.” And now, the high-density foam insoles and inserts are the only thing he wears. In fact, he’s currently out promoting his new book, Guy Fieri Family Food, and about to start filming the new season of Guy’s Grocery Games, both of which keep him on his feet for most of the ten-to-12 hour days and require Superfeet to keep him going.

“The fatigue I’d feel in my feet, knees and back without the Superfeet? It’s night and day,” he says. “And this isn’t a paid advertisement!"

Founded in 1977 by California College of Podiatric Medicine attendee Dennis Brown, Superfeet products are biomechanically correct and based on the principles of podiatric medicine. The official website claims the insoles and inserts can help a wide range of foot health related issues.

“Superfeet insoles help adapt the flat, 2-dimensional midsoles of your footwear to your 3-dimensional foot,” says the site. “The distinct Superfeet shape helps to stabilize the foot, while the deep, structured heel cup and full-length foam provide support and comfort.”
