Teenagers in China have taken selfies to the next level: Rather than using their hands to take photos of themselves, young men and women on the social media site Weibo (China’s version of Facebook) are holding their phones with their feet and snapping pictures with their toes.
Yes, you read that right. The “look ma, no hands” approach to selfie taking has swept the country, and kids are using their tootsies to photograph themselves doing all kinds of things, from sleeping to giving double peace signs (because clearly one peace sign in a photo just isn’t enough).

After trying the one-footed selfie trend ourselves, we have to warn that it is not for the faint of foot. It takes expert yoga-like movement, balance and toe muscle strength, all of which we clearly lack because we suffered cramps, a few bruises and a near broken iPhone while trying the crazy technique.
In the end, our vote is to skip out on actually snapping the picture with your toes and rather set the automatic timer and use your foot as a natural, built-in selfie stick. Just don't forget to say cheese. Or maybe “toe tease” in this case…
